Oh, crikey – we’re Overdue!

Oh dear – we are overdue because, of course yesterday was due to be O on our alphabet journey.

So, let’s catch up with ourselves by looking a few obscure words beginning with O…

How about –

  • obeah – a kind of sorcery practised especially in the Caribbean

or a suitable description of our weather lately…

  • obnubilate – to darken or cover with, as if with a cloud

or an alternative to the very alphabet we are playing with on this journey…

  • ogham – an ancient British and Irish alphabet, consisting of twenty characters, formed by parallel strokes on either side of or across a continuous line

Here’s a good challenge – send us a message in ogham !
