Will and determination are all well and good, but sometimes we all need a little encouragement. That’s why I have decided to take part in ‘Nanowrimo’ this year. For those of you who have never heard of it, National Novel Writing Month (Nanowrimo almost trips off the tongue) is a website that offers support to budding writers by encouraging them to write 50,000 words towards their novel during the month of November.
Once you sign up you have access to other authors, forums and useful writing tips all designed to help you remain focused and keep up with a steady flow of getting words on the page. Ideally you need to aim to write every day for a month and hopefully by the end of the month you will be in the swing of it and you won’t want to stop!
So, I have signed up and from 1 November will be blogging about my progress. This means that I will have to admit to all of you out there when I have failed miserably – or (fingers crossed) when I have met my goal.
Take a look at the website and see if you would like to take part – http://nanowrimo.org/ and if you decide to sign up then maybe we can be writing buddies! Look out for me at: nofixedabode123
Good luck to one and all!
